6/10/10 – Thanks to Greg in San Francisco
From Greg:
I am over the top so excited to finally have my beautiful Aqua Blue 2LT M6 2010 Camaro! Thanks to Camaro Scotty for helping me find my dream car and shipping her all the way out to California from Wisconsin. He made the process enjoyable and super easy. BIG UPS SCOTT.
I took her out on her maiden voyage yesterday and the feeling of having worked to save and worked to find the right car for me was really like nothing I’ve felt before. I could not be happier. I can’t wait to dive deeper into the world of Camaro and join some local clubs and go on cruises to meet many more of you who are also floating on this cloud I’m currently on.
Looking forward to meeting more of you and thanks for all the help many of you gave me for making this decision. Sorry if I was one who started a thread or two that may have been played out… like V6 vs v8 but I had to do it. I’m so happy with the decision I made and this car is just the right match for me.
I’ve decided to individualize my ride, by giving her color a new name… “Honolulu Blue” and she’ll be known as simply “Lulu Blue” and maybe some times just “Lulu”
Hope you like the pics.
I AM SO STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!

6/9/10 – Thanks to Josh for taking a few days off from his firefighting job to fly in to get his car! I asked for a little help on this one, as yes, I was a firefighter / emt years ago….I know the brotherhood! So we contacted some of our great friends at the Cedarburg Fire Department….they brought over an engine, and parked it behind the dealership while waiting for me to arrive with Josh from the airport. We arrived, and I had Josh bring his things inside. I told my crew to bring the car around, and took Josh outside…moments later, the Cedarburg Fire Engine came around the corner, red lights and sirens….with Josh’s Camaro right behind….a GREAT Camaro escort! Josh was what we in the EMT field say, “a Little in shock”…..time seemed to stand still – like it was too much to take in… He went to his Camaro and had a seat….got back out, looked at the fire engine which was parked right in front of the car, and realized the two were kind of together. After various photo’s, Josh was invited to the Cedarburg Fire Department for a tour. We hopped in the RJM 2SS/RS, and followed the engine back… Josh and I toured the whole building, and discussed comparison’s and likeness’s between Cedarburg and Ithaca’s FD. My friends at Cedarburg gave Josh and I a Fire Dept shirt, and a patch. Thanks so much to those guys for making another firefighter’s day, and welcoming him to Wisconsin!
We came back, and Josh got his paperwork done…..We went through the Camaro Scotty gift pack (which put him in more shock
) and then helped him load up the Camaro for the trip home. It was hard to say goodbye, but as anyone standing in front of their new Camaro knows, YOU WANT TO START DRIVING!!!! I could tell the morning could go down as one of the best mornings he’s ever had. I had a great time putting it all together – and I couldn’t sleep last night waiting for the morning to come! Josh – can’t wait to read your “side” of the delivery when you get home…and thanks for letting me do what I do best!
From Josh:
Well I made it home. Ended up being 802 miles (with a “detour”) and she drove like a dream every single mile.
I’ve got to say that yesterday was one of the most amazing days that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I had no idea what was in store with the exception that I was going to finally be picking up my baby. Scott and the fine folks at Cedarburg Fire Dept put on one fantastic show that I will never forget.
This was my first time buying a new car as well as my first time buying from a dealer. I could only wish that all dealers put 1/2 as much enthusiasm and interest in their… I guess to say job wouldn’t be quite accurate, at least not in Scott’s case, I’d have to say passion. I’ve got to say that besides the paperwork I think Scott was having as much of a good time as I was, and has had so on more than one occasion according to his wall of happiness (pictures of people and members that he has sold cars to).
I know I said thank you about 100 times yesterday Scott but that doesn’t really begin to scratch the surface, anyways, I’ll say it again, thank you, thank you for your time, emails, text messages, phone calls, thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, knowledge, respect, and trust. You sir are a class act that I can’t imagine ever being topped .

THANKS TO ANDREW IN ARIZONA! From Andrew:
Jan 2006
The concept was revealed and at the time I was in college working on my AAS. I had made the decision that since my truck was going to be paid off when I graduated and I had paid for school out of my own pocket that I deserved a reward. That reward was going to be in the form of a car, a muscle car. At the time I was shopping the Mustang and soon the Challenger… but then ran across the Camaro and fell in love.
Little did I know that it was going to be a bumpy, but ultimately VERY rewarding journey…
I found Camaro5 in March 2 months later, joined, and never looked back. We all schemed, planned, fought over how to find and free Shunt, and drooled over every tidbit of information. I even managed to get in on some juicy insider stuff along the way.
Most memorably is my jaunt out to the GM Proving grounds (now closed) in Mesa Arizona on April 6th 2008. Where after getting an amazing tour by punchy, rides around the track in corvettes, and a Q&A session with some GM engineers, a bunch of us from Camaro5 got to see/touch/fondle 3 pre-production Camaros (Read the full story Here).
After that I hunkered down to work hard, finish school, make money, annoy my friends, family, and coworkers with my Camaro madness, and pay off bills. As is the normal with life things don’t always follow the plan but after seeing the official release and pre-orders pass by, SEMA, specialty cars, etc come and go, it had finally become THAT time.
The first week of April 2010 I began my quest to fill a dream, finding that perfect Camaro, I had the financing, I had the down payment, but finding the elusive white, 1SS, manual was becoming a challenge. I even had a broker searching all the dealers in the south western United States. By the time the broker started looking out of state I said “screw it”. If I’m going to do an out-of-state purchase I’m going to the one person I KNOW I can trust.
CamaroScotty!
Luckily Scott had just what I was looking for already on order, even being built the week of April 12th.
Follow the easiest, most informative, and comfortable car purchase I have EVER been through. Top it all off with the special Scotty package that I can never give enough thanks for and what is the result.
This is.

I won’t repost shot after shot that I have… All I can say is that this car has completely changed how I view GM products, the service (at least from reputable dealers), and the faith held by people like CamaroScotty (Scott Volkert), Scott Settlemire, Al Oppenheiser, and Cheryl Pilcher.
That change and the memories revolving around this car are something nobody can take away and couldn’t have happened any other way.
Thank you GM, Scotty, Scott, Al, Cheryl, Camaro5, The Oshawa family, and the countless of others that it took to get this car to my door step.

THANKS to Richard and Scott K from New Lenox Illinois on the IOM 1LT/RS!
Your business is GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Message from Scott:
I just wanted to thank CamaroScotty for all his help in obtaining this awesome Camaro!!! We drove up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin from the southwestern suburbs of Chicago and were treated fantastically! CamaroScotty did everything he said he would. He is as advertised, so if anyone is in needs to order a new Camaro, contact him at Newman Cheverolet.
Here are some pics of the car we ordered. It is an Inferno Orange Metallic Camaro 1LT RS with the six-speed manual transmission, white rally stripes, 20 inch polished aluminum wheels, sunroof, and gray interior. Drove it home about 150 miles and all I can say is WOW what a great car!!! Unfortunately, Chicago has horrible weather at this time so it’s being put away at my parents house for the winter. I will be driving my new cars negative throughout the winter, my 129,000 mile 1997 30th Anniversary Z28 because it has snow tires. My Dad’s 1994 Z28 can also be seen in some of the pics.
Also had to stop for a late lunch and had to get an orange soda to celebrate the IOM Camaro!
Thank You CamaroScotty and Newman Cheverolet!!!!
Scott K.

Thanks Camaro Scotty!!
We absolutely LOVE the Camaro and we had a great trip back through scenic Wisconsin and Minnesota! We made it back just in time for the boys (Clone Trooper and Mario) to do some trick or treating; they made good use of the Halloween pumpkins you gave them! I never thought the Camaro Scotty gift pack would include pumpkins!! The rest of the gift pack was VERY cool but I cannot divulge…

From Don -
I’d just like to thank Scott Volkert for all his help in this transaction. After having one local Wyoming dealer show no interest in ordering one for me, and another local who took the order knowing full well they had zippo in the way of allocations, Scott came through for me with one phone call.
Thank you and Mike and Adam for the super service. We had a great trip home. I’ve attached a couple of pics.
Guess who I’ll call for my next Chevy?
Thanks Again, Scotty.

THANK YOU SCOTT and DAVE and CRAIG and everyone at Newman!

Congrats to Scott in Fairbanks Alaska on his Silver 2SS/RS. Thanks for the business Scott – it was a pleasure working with you and your family!
Scott was one of the first to order a Camaro from me here at Newman. Yesterday, after what seemed to take forever to arrive, he took home his 2SS/RS Camaro! And in Scott’s own words, “the car is FRICKEN’ AWESOME!” And it looks like another family member approves as well!
We certainly try to please all our customers, even those 2694 miles away! Since this was one of the first long distance deliveries of a Camaro, my buddy Mike on the Oshawa assembly line sent Scott a nice Camaro print signed by the crew that built it!
Scott, I thank you for your business, as well as the new friendship we have! All of us here at Newman hope you enjoy that car, and hope to hear from you in the future on any new additions….like that Z28! Thanks again!
